Mount Batur was located at Kintamani. For those who like the adventure, you can climb the Mount Batur. You will be able to see the lake of Batur. The height of Mount Batur is 1.717 meter and it is the second, with a summit over 1,700m above sea level and 700m above the surrounding landscape.
It is possible to climb Gunung Batur from a variety of locations within the greater caldera area. The two most popular starting locations are Kedisan and Toya Bungkah, with Toya Bungkah having more accommodation and a slightly more relaxed feel. If you look at the above picture carefully, you will see small apes that live on the mountain and presumably gather around the hut to beg for food.
It is forbidden to climb the mountain without an authorised guide from the HPPGB, which has a monopoly on guiding services. They're a pushy bunch and there are reports, although unconfirmed by us, of them harassing trekkers that set off up the mountain without one of their guides. Beside this annoyance, it's not really a trek that you would want to do without a guide at night anyway unless you are an experienced climber.
Better you use the stick while walking or climb this mount. For your safety, follow the instruction from the guide. If you are so tired, tell the guide to rest for a while.
